Did You Know?

Hawaii has the lowest voter turnout of all 50 states. In 2016, turnout was 43% for the state, compared to 60% nationwide. The state may soon join Oregon, Washington, and Colorado as a vote-by-mail state. These states all rank in the top 15 for voter turnout.

Montana Governor issued a special amendatory veto to use vote-by-mail for the state's special U.S. House election to replace Rep. Ryan Zinke.

Join the March for Accountability! April 15

The president is accountable to the American people, and he must answer to us! There are local marches happening across the country to put pressure on the president to release his taxes. Ongoing questions regarding ties to foreign entities and his ability to profit from the presidency make his returns a vital interest for the nation.

Let's Empower Voters in Nevada!

Two bills to empower voters are working there way through Nevada’s state legislature. AB272 and SB94 will expand early voting and increase voting accessibility. These bills face a potential veto from the Governor who already vetoed Automatic Voter Registration (AVR) last month.  We need to put pressure on the Governor there and are developing a strategy. Contact Jonah Zern (jzern@citizen.org) if you have folks on the ground.
